Afghan Girls Tech Academy
Afghan Girls Tech Academy is a place where Afghan girls learn practical computer skills. The academy is based in Herat, and students learn through small group classes, clear instruction, and simple but real projects. Classes are held in person and online, and each student receives steady support as she learns. We teach coding, design, digital skills, and basic AI tools. The goal is clear. Help girls gain skills they can use for study, work, or small freelance tasks, and prepare them for entry into the job market. Many of our students cannot attend school, so we aim to give them a reliable path to learn and progress at their own pace.

We are Afghan Girls Tech Academy, an initiative of Change Makers of the World. The academy is based in Herat, where instructors and students work together to learn practical digital skills. Our focus is on helping Afghan girls build a basic foundation in coding, design, AI concepts, and digital tools through steady, hands-on learning.
The academy began with a simple idea. Create a safe place where girls can study, work on real tasks, and develop confidence through practice. Over time, our classes have grown into a space where students help each other, complete small projects, and take on assignments that match their level.
The academy continues with the help of people who share their skills, time, or resources. Support can take different forms. Some people teach short lessons, some share materials or tools, and some help with small donations that cover internet costs or equipment. Anyone who wants to support learning can fill out the support form, and we will reach out if there is a suitable match.
